The living room, with its impressive double-height space, is anchored by a pitched roof that creates a dramatic verticality.

To temper the sharp angles, a continuous curve at the junction of the wall and ceiling extends seamlessly throughout the space, creating a fluid and harmonious flow.

A gentle arc introduces a harmonious interplay of soft lines and fluid geometry, mitigating the room’s inherent angularity to create a serene and inviting atmosphere.

The foremost challenge was to design a TV wall that seamlessly integrates with the extended party wall.

Two distinct curved blocks, joined by sleek powder-coated metal display shelves, were sculpted to achieve a refined integration with the existing structure.

The larger block accommodates the TV and soundbar, while a seated ledge clad in Venice grey marble below serves as unifying motif that visually connects the living and master bedroom spaces.

Opposite the TV wall, a pantry, essential for communal gatherings, is equipped with a sink, coffee machine, and wine chiller.

To preserve visual harmony, additional white spray-painted curved doors were incorporated, each featuring two circular cutouts for the surround sound system.

A large L-shaped chaise sofa and a custom coffee table anchored the space between the curved blocks.

To enhance the flow of the communal space, the dining area was relocated to the balcony.

A bespoke dining set was crafted to maximise the spatial utility of the balcony's elongated yet narrow dimensions.

Although compromising on ergonomic comfort, this design provides a unique dining experience with extended seating and a narrower tabletop, optimizing practicality for outdoor dining.

In the master bedroom, the layout was slightly modified to accommodate a longer headboard that conjuncts with the study/dressing table.

To enhance the sense of openness, the original wall separating the bedroom from the stairs was replaced with a half-height timber barrier. Two French doors at the base of the stairs reclaimed space and added privacy.

Maintaining material consistency with the first floor, the master bedroom features the same timber laminate and Venice grey marble. A full-length mirror is strategically positioned at the end of the wardrobe area to visually elongate the space and offer a convenient, private spot for personal grooming.

In the bathroom, the placement of the existing ventilation window precluded the installation of a full-width mirror for the his-and-hers vanity sink.

A custom sliding vanity mirror was designed to overcome this limitation, accommodating the window while enhancing the space's versatility.

This design solution offers flexible positioning, allowing control over the amount of natural light entering the space while maintaining a seamless aesthetic.

Blending practicality with visual appeal, this design intervention highlights bespoke curations and carefully considered unifying elements that enhance both visual cohesiveness and functional utility.
