As you step into this intimate abode, a unified colour palette defines the adjacent dining and living areas.
The space is a symphony of three distinct hues: a soft creamy backdrop against warm wooden tones, juxtaposed by bold black accents that grace the furnishings.
The two adjacent zones are segregated by a central pathway that directs your exploration towards the master bedroom and its ensuite, a second bedroom and a shared bathroom.

Above the solid wood circular dining table, a pendant light that mirrors its form takes center stage.
The unique legs of the table offer a glimpse into the linear design motifs that thread their way throughout the home.

Every inch of space was maximised to its fullest potential. The original distribution board (DB box) cabinet was elongated and redesigned in a softer laminate, a few shades deeper than the surrounding walls.
This cabinet serves a dual purpose, seamlessly functioning as both a box-up and a concealed shoe cabinet with ample storage space within for various odds and ends.

Within the living room's apparent simplicity lies a treasure trove of carefully considered design details.
A subtle recess was integrated in the false ceiling to discreetly conceal curtain tracks while creating an illusion of spatial elongation.
Wall paneling serves as the unifying thread: connecting diverse elements within the space and anchoring the prevalent use of wood throughout the home to create a cohesive visual narrative that elevates the living space in its entirety.

Linear forms were artfully interwoven throughout the space to create an illusion of elongation and rectangularity for a semblance of exaggerated dimensions.
At the heart of this design rhetoric and dominating the visual landscape is a substantial slab of solid suar wood that adds a focal point from all angles.
The wooden slab is upheld by a concrete leg on one flank, highlighting the tonal contrast present on the underside of the slab. On the opposite end, an intersection was deliberately created between the slab and concrete block to creatively support its weight.

An enticing glimpse into the kitchen unfolds from the vantage of the living and dining area.
The open concept culinary space embodies the idea of maintaining an organised environment.

In the kitchen, a strong emphasis is placed on rectilinear forms.
A deliberate departure from conventional kitchen design, its clean, straight lines and sharp angles, exude a sense of modernity and precision that is visually striking and also highly functional.
To achieve this effect, handles were designed beneath the wooden strips, enhancing usability while seamlessly concealing a heavier dishwasher door.

Limewash paint was employed to elevate the ambience in the master bedroom.
This authentic and organic treatment to its surrounds infuses the space with nuanced, understated visual textures to create a tranquil and timeless character.
A half height wall doubles up as a bedhead, which hides an ambient light source for a relaxed night time setting.

This mini vanity area was created with a singular wooden ledge.
Wrapped in the same laminate used throughout the kitchen and living room, it echoes a unity in design, seamlessly connecting the spaces.

The ensuite bathroom and master bedroom are separated by a sliding door intentionally rendered in white to minimise visual distractions.
Carefully positioned within the concealed recesses of the bathroom's utility boxes, strategic light sources provide targeted lighting at the sink area.

A bespoke integrated sink elevates its utility with a lowered recess specifically customised to house soap bottles and other bathroom essentials.
